The book is an example for the way in which the creative forms can capitalize on memory, thus contributing to the transmission of collective emotion and that of a traveler spirit marked by the past. It is a graphic novel with a documentary-fictional story inspired by the events that took place in a prison for children and adolescents considered unworthy by the communist dictatorship established after 1945 in Romania.

“Inside the Big Bear’s mouth” has borrowed events from history in order to create an awakening within ourselves, for the awareness and human responsibility towards those who died or survived but also for the future generations. Accepting some wounds from the past, reminds us that we have a social and intellectual duty, to preserve the memory of the place and time, by the means of learned lessons.
